Supreme Court Reverses Lower Court In Donaldson Case
Judge W P Ferguson learned yesterday that the supreme court reversed a lower court ruling in the David Donaldson vs Eaton & Estes case. The matter began with a divorce suit, Mrs Donaldson hiring attorney G B Jennings, while Mr Donaldson employed Waton & Manes. Settlement out of court left Mrs Donaldson with 2000 dollars. Mr Donaldson claimed 5100 in checks, detailing allocations to Jennings, an Omaha attorney, costs, and fees to Eaton & Estes. The record shows Ferguson sought excess over a 300 to 500 dollar fee, leading to the appeal and court reversal amid public interest and a quarrel over attorney charges.
