Gordon Axtell, Mrs. Margaretta Hays, Frederic G. Newell, Albert Washburn, and Allen Wortman praise workers for their efforts in the recent school bond election. They pledge to ensure the building proposal meets district needs and enhances the education program for youth, noting the large decisive majority as special satisfaction.
Harvey B. Brammer of Malvern sustained head and back injuries when his 1959 Oldsmobile left the shoulder and crossed the highway while attempting to return to the road. Passenger Glen Bailinger was also aboard. Brammer was cited for failing to have the car under control.
An accident late last Thursday afternoon three miles east of Mal vern led highway patrol to charge both drivers. The incident occurred on county road N at its intersection with a county gravel road, per Sheriff Edwin Barkus' office.
The Plymouth driven by Fred Sell of Malvern collided with a 1958 Mercury station wagon driven by Sharon Kay Selby of route 1 Malvern. Selby was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign and yield to oncoming traffic and fined $15 and costs by Justice of Peace John Hall. Sell was charged with defective brakes and fined $10 and costs.
An early morning accident on a icy curve on highway 273, a mile and a half north of Glenwood, involved Steven L. Scott driving a 1963 Chevrolet. Officers report loss of control on the slick road. damage estimated at 900 pounds. Card of thanks from Wade Stevens family and Darrell Achenbaugh note gratitude for sympathy and visits.
