Two evenings of school Christmas programs at Malvern Community Schools delighted patrons. Thursday featured the elementary show led by Bill Gilbert with carols and a pageant by grades four through six. Luca McConkey and Robbing read the Christmas story. Monday’s high school chorus, directed by Virgil Beukelman, performed Christmas music joined by junior high vocalists, followed by a short concert by the school funds under Warren Darrah.

Employees of Henningsen Foods Inc plant in Malvern were feted Wednesday noon to a Christmas dinner of roast turkey and trimmings. An annual event since 1956, 14 persons were served with a gift exchange after an attractively decorated lunch room. W. H. Carr Ron Upshaw and James Godkin of the district Omaha office attended.
