Treynor Gals Sweep Malvern In Twin Basketball Wins
Treynor girls defeated Malvern 76 to 62 in the varsity game while the Treynor junior varsity won 71 to 60. Patty Schmidt scored 43 for Treynor, with major contributions from Diana and Kathy Ricker and Susan Scheel. Malvern top scorer Kim Wederquist had 29 as Treynor and Malvern both pulled down 42 rebounds. In the junior contest Treynor led 24-15 after one quarter and stayed ahead.
