Malvern Volunteer Fire department plans a benefit frolic next Thursday to raise funds for the Kane & Nelson block addition and Wilson Hatchery expansion. The event features a King’s Men dance from Peru Nebraska, games, athletic show for boys under 14, corn games, dining room, carnival, and a street parade act. Admission 50 cents adults, 25 cents children. patrons receive 25 phoney dollars usable at all attractions.

Mrs G W Wyant Died In Des Moines After Long Malvern Ties
Mrs G W Wyant died Wednesday in Des Moines at her daughter s home after more than sixty years in Mills county and forty in Malvern and vicinity. She was born Alice Gordon Schutek October 1 1850 in Monmouth County New Jersey. Surviving are eight of ten children many grandchildren and great grandchildren with two daughters deceased. She joined the Methodist church in Malvern and remained active in church work, passing a long life of devotion to family and friends. The funeral was held in Malvern with burial in the Malvern cemetery.
