Noted Wildlife Artist Reece Produced 1972 Iowa State Duck Stamp
Iowa announces the first State Duck Stamp sale set for September 1 at $1. The stamp features three mallards in flight by Maynard Reece of Des Moines. All waterfowl hunters must carry a signed state stamp, and those 16+ must also have a Federal Duck Stamp. A hunter survey via an application is required, and funds support wetlands development.

Canada geese October 7–29 and other geese October 7–December 15. Pheasant November 11–January 1, Bobwhite quail October 28–January 31, Hungarian partridge November 11–January 1. Bag and possession limits specified by point system and area restrictions apply.
