Mr and Mrs C H Gates arrived Friday morning from Florida for a ten day visit with their family in Malvern and their daughter Babe who stays with the Randervons.
Fort Crook defeated Malvern 6 to 4 in an Interstate League game. Fort Crook scored in the fourth and seventh innings plus two more in the ninth to secure the win. Malvern rallied in the ninth with a three-base hit by McClary driving in Huntsman, but could not tie the score. Batteries were Castle, White, Harvey, Conyer for Fort Crook and McCord, Gradeville for Malvern. Malvern will play Julian Hudson Essex of Omaha next Sunday in the league series.

Miss Margaret Berkhimer entertained a group of young people at her home Friday evening honoring Hela and Donald Relves who recently moved here from Minnesota with their parents, Mr. and Mia. Frank Raines. Indoor games and novelties provided entertainment and refreshments were served. Attendees included Helen Ireland, Minnie Hall, Hasel Cox, Bernice Candeli, Hazel Landis, Dorothy Durbin, Donald Rigs Glos, and James Benton.
Card of Thanks expresses appreciation to friends for sympathy and acts of kindness during illness and death of Thos. Davis. Family members, including father, mother, and brothers, acknowledge support received.
Dorothy Margeral Batty died August 1 at St Joseph Hospital Omaha after rabies symptoms from a dachshund bite on the cheek. Pasteur treatment failed. Batty is identified as the daughter of Mrs Circle Barger and widow of Weid Ste, BL. Her death follows a fatal bite incident linked to a dachshund owned by unknown parties.
