John Mullins in Wesley Corwith area employs 30 workers to detassel 600 acres of hybrid corn to secure seed blends for next year. He markets thousands of bushels of hybrid seed corn and soybeans. The Rooster story attracts nationwide attention to Winterset via The Country Home. Nearly 1800 roosters sold to merchants between May 20 and June 1. Lester Bull, Vil lisca high senior, among 19 Iowa scholarship award recipients from Register and Tribune carried by Des Moines. He chose the American Institute of Business in Des Moines with a 1929 40 start. Greenfield council notes only two weeks of city reservoir water remaining.
