Sandquist-Howard Wedding At Emerson United Methodist Church
Darlene Sandquist and Denny Howard wed at Emerson United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon July 30 in a 3 o'clock double ring ceremony. Rev Delbert Terry presided as organist and soloist Lyn nette Carlson performed We ve Only Just Begun and The Lord s Prayer. The bride wore an organza gown with empire waist and bishop sleeves, carried a cascade bouquet, and her bridal party wore coordinated orange and green gowns. A reception followed with flowers, candles, and a tiered wedding cake topped by white doves. A separate note details a Mills County Democrats benefit dance August 12 at Glenwood Armory to aid sheriff candidate Virgil Faulkner and supervisor candidate Harold Radford, with a September 29 rally in Mineola.

The couple will reside at Goose Lake where the groom teaches and coaches at Northeast High School after a Colorado trip. Jim and Mrs. Howard hosted a dinner for the wedding party at the Tall Corn Motel in Shenandoah following Friday rehearsal.
