Malvern residents report a flurry of visitors and travel to Omaha Des Moines and nearby towns over the weekend. Local residents including Mrs. J. O. Dunn Mrs. Mills and many others are seen in Omaha while relatives and friends tour Des Moines Glenwood Council Bluffs and Shenandoah. Several farms and businesses announce moves sales and new projects as community life continues amid travel and illness updates.
A social event honored Mr. and Mrs. Jas J Wilson hosted by Chung Han church members at the home of Mr and Mrs Eli Springer on Douglas Street Thursday evening. About fifty to sixty attendees enjoyed music conversation and other social diversions with refreshments served at the end.
Alfred Albert Anderson was born March 29 1897 in Pottawattamie County Iowa and died April 2 1915 at his home near St Edwards Nebraska at age 22. He moved north of Malvern years ago and later settled on a farm with his parents. He died four days after an appendicitis operation on March 28. Funeral services were held March 5 at East Liberty church with Rev Lundquist officiating and burial at East Liberty Cemetery. He is survived by his parents five sisters two brothers and multiple aunts and uncles from both sides. Attending distance relatives included Mr and Mrs A Anderson and daughters Sophie and Marie and son Louie from St Edward Nebraska and Mr Landon and daughter.

The body of Mrs. D H Robinson, former county resident, was brought for burial and interment made in Malvern cemetery. Rev M A Gable led a brief service at the grave. She had lived in the county in early history and her husband was buried here years ago. She was mother of Mrs Frank Salyers now of Arapahoe Nebraska, four daughters, two sons, a brother and a sister in law accompanied the remains. She died in Milford Nebraska on Friday April 4 after a period of ill health.
