Malvern couple wed at United Methodist Church

Mrs Douglas Bowen and Sheri Jean O'Dell Bowen tied the knot at the United Methodist church in Malvern on Saturday March 20 with Rev R G Viney officiating. Maid of Honor Terri Bowen and bridesmaids Kathy Ryan Karen Roenfeld and Bard Poort attended. The groom’s party included Best Man Roger Poort and groomsmen Jeff Sell Steve Sell and Terry Smith. Reception and dance followed at local venues, then a brief honeymoon to Omaha.

County Auxiliary Sets Joint Meeting at Silver City Hall

Mills County American Legion and Auxiliary announce a joint gathering at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper and 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Silver City Legion Hall on April 5. Officials request turnout at least as strong as Mineola’s. attendees may attend the meeting without joining the supper.

Hamburg Delta Kappa Gamma Holds March Meeting

Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met at Miss Jose Taylor’s Hamburg home with co host Mrs Fleta Bruce presiding. Discussion covered the July international meeting in St Louis and program Women Becoming presented by Mrs Margaret Winkler. Attendees from Malvern included Mrs Elva Hoover and Mrs Cleta Salyers. Next gathering set for April 21 at 7 30 p m with Miss Elaine Leeka in Thurman.

April Luncheon at Red Oak Club Features Stonecroft Speaker

The Red Oak Christian Women's Club invites area women to a 1 p.m. luncheon on Monday April 12 at the Holiday Inn. Speaker is Alice Hellstrom national Stonecroft Ministries representative. Betrothed Miss Long Plans June 5 Wedding

Betrothed Miss Long, a 1972 Glenwood High School and 1973 Iowa Western graduate, works at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Her fiancé Mr. Dunsdon, a 1972 Malvern High School and 1974 Bluffs graduate, is with Missouri Valley Machinery in Omaha. They plan a June 5 wedding at the First Christian Church in Glenwood.
