Will Consolidate Draft Offices of Five Counties

The draft board offices for Fremont and Mills counties along with Taylor Montgomery and Page counties will consolidate into one office at Shenandoah effective June 1. The plan, called collocation, relocates compensated personnel to a single site while preserving local board authority and identity. It aims to reduce operations and may shrink further if draft calls decline. Registrars will be appointed in all communities to help 18-year-olds.
