Future Problem Solving Program at TCHS
Texas City students in Kay Gilbert’s and Nancy Cooper’s gifted program compete in the Future Problem Solving Program sponsored by the Texas Education Agency and Austin ISD. The interscholastic event centers on creative future problem solving as a coastal island’s garbage leakage into groundwater prompts students to propose future problems and solutions after consulting Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority on current solid waste practices.
