Dickinson class plans 1963 reunion and summer schedules
The 1963 Dickinson High School graduating class plans a 28th reunion with invitations to 1962 and 1964 alumni. Dickinson ISD adopts a summer schedule 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. MonThu and 7:30 a.m. to noon Fri June 6 to Aug 19, aiming for $24-25,000 in electrical savings.

Beef referendum results seen as positive
National beef checkoff referendum results announced May 27 by the U S Department of Agriculture were viewed as highly favorable by industry education and research groups involved in the effort. Of 256 506 ballots cast 202 408 were affirmative and 54 097 were negative.

Beef referendum approval aids cattle promotion and research
In Texas 21.03 percent rejected the referendum with 37,945 voting, 32,209 yes or 88 percent, and 5,676 no or 12 percent. Galveston County favored by 94 percent with 93 local votes. Dr. Ernest E. B.
