Record crowds gathered in Texas City for the Shrimp Boil part of Mainland Springfest. More than 1,500 pounds of shrimp were cooked by Muecke's Shrimp Boilers of Pasadena before a country and western dance. attendees viewed the large shrimp boiler near the old Safeway Building.
