Texas City creates progressive choir program for younger students
Texas City schools restructured last year boosting fifth and sixth graders in choir at Levi Fry Intermediate. Teachers say focus on basic vocal skills and enjoyment builds a foundation. The after school choir expands opportunities with auditions and community performances. A skill rotation plan and new Guitar Club add variety, aiding rhythm, reading, and musical engagement.
