Bodies Recovered After Deschutes Tragedy
At seven Sunday August 25 the body of &. H. Walker was found near Shearers bridge and three days later Irvin Williams was recovered downstream. Relatives claimed the remains and arranged burial in Halsey and Harrisburg respectively. A special O W R N train carrying Seattle Tacoma and Portland visitors went to Bend to view demonstration farms and local industries.
