Catholic Church Opens in Bend with Inaugural Services
On Sunday May 6 Rev Father Hickey will inaugurate the new Catholic church at Bend with a high mass at 10 o clock and a free lecture in the evening. Bend’s old schoolhouse has been secured by Catholics and converted into a place of worship as the county’s first Catholic church. Miss Fauule Osborn from Bend visited Crook county and stayed with her parents Mr and Mrs George Osborn at Culver while in Madras and Steja this week.

Death of Jesse White 74 in Oregon area funeral held
Jesse White aged 74 years died at his son George White's home seven miles north of the town on Friday morning April 1 007 after brief illness from organic heart trouble. He had lived in Oregon about a year since coming from Muay Held Washington with his wife who preceded him. He leaves a widow and one son and was a longtime Mason affiliated with Bilver Creek Lodge No 7 A F and A M. Funeral services were held at the deceased home by Rev H L Bell and his remains laid to rest at Post 2 Madras cemetery with many friends paying last respects.
