In a circuit court session Jacob Klein was fined 50 dollars plus costs after a sealed verdict in the murder attempt case. Martin Duffy was acquitted. A new trial motion was filed. In the Wiley rape case testimony closed and jurors were charged. Sam Nye was tried for assault with intent to kill and fined 10 dollars with about 75 dollars total costs as the jury remained out.
