Mrs. Mary Eger of Chicago visits sisters on north Walnut street while Mrs. Harry Hillabold returns to Greensburg with her parents Cragmont Street. Miss Mary Quinn heads to St Louis to visit. others plan to return to Indianapolis. Jean Clum, 66, Cragmont patient, shipped to Boston for burial after dying May 4 admitted from Terre Haute. Goldie Turner files for divorce from Orville Turner citing cruel treatment. couple married 1915, divorced 1918, remarried 1918. Corporal Charles Massing arrives home in Ripley County after service in France and discharge at Camp Sherman Ohio. son of Mr. and Mrs. Finley Massing.
The Commercial Club of Madison under Robert Yunker leadership promotes new industry. Elmer Scott chairs the New Industries committee that secured the Major Apron Company of Chicago. President J A Scheyer visited, and Madison announces the firm will locate here and begin machinery setup, with potential ties to Reliance Picture Frame. Hampton Brothers cracker bakery also joins Madison’s growing industrial base.
Miss Mary Hoffil and Mr. William Obertater were married at 11 o'clock this morning at the bride's parents home in Hunter's Bottom Ky. Rev B Arends officiated in the Lutheran Church parsonage with a large gathering present. A bountiful wedding dinner followed. The groom, son of Mr and Mrs John Otertater, is a prosperous local farmer and the couple are well regarded by many friends across the river.
Frank J Sheets longtime Madison firefighter and respected citizen died at home on East Third Street after a year of illness. He was 60, would have turned 61 in July. He leaves wife Mary Effinger and three sons, six siblings, and various relatives. A member of Walnut Street Fire Company No 4 and civic groups, he served as a hose reel driver for 24 years and was active in St Mary’s Church and Catholic fraternal organizations.
Edinburg telegram announces the death of Owen Moffett aged about 65 in Edinburg last night. He formerly lived in Madison where he ran Moffett & Bowman with William Bowman, later moving to Memphis to head Moffett Bowman Rush Lumber Co. He had been ill for years and died with his wife at his side. He left a widow and no children.
Eva confides to Hazel that she cannot attract boys despite being pretty while Hazel offers sympathy. Eva admires her sister but feels ignored by peers and asks for tips to gain male attention. Washington sources say Richard Crane, 33, private secretary to Secretary Lansing, will be the first American minister to the new Czecho Slovakia republic. Crane, son of Charles R. Crane of Chicago, has worked in the State Department for over four years after starting as a clerk.
James McCullough a Cincinnati traveling salesman escaped serious harm after his car went over the river road bank near Morris Chapel. He was pinned for about thirty minutes and treated by Dr. E C Cook before being confined to Hotel Jefferson. The car suffered only minor damage.

A large attendance included members of St Peters Society Catholic Knights of America Knights of Columbus and Walnut Street Fire Co No 4. Interment followed at St Josephs Cemetery with pallbearers Edward A Lauer Casper Krum J J Kasper William H Horuff Adam Schmidt Henry W Schmidt.
