Cincinnati July 21 Jim Anderson alias Morgan notorious burglar who figured in the February Price Hill shooting escaped from the county jail. He reportedly passed through three locked gates and scaled a twenty foot wall to freedom. His trial had been delayed due to counsel’s absence and officers fear he will skip the scheduled pleadings.
Indianapolis July 21 Attorney General Smith received a letter from the Lawrenceburg prosecutor about the board of review action toward banks that would not state their deposit totals at the start of the assessment year The inquiry led to statements showing 800000 had been withheld from the assessors plus a 50 percent penalty totaling 450000 added to the tax duplicate.
