Crowds gather at the fair grounds for a Pong 100 event scheduled this Saturday. Organizers invite participants and spectators to join the games and festivities.
Macomb fair grounds host a county bureau picnic next Saturday September 1 with a farm versus town day program. Activities begin at 9:30 am including a novel township representative baseball game, talks by IL Thompson of vy and W F Schilling of Minnesota, and music. Officials from Adams County Agricultural Bureau and Minnesota potato and grain circles attend.
Clyde Pierce of a Huntsville area farm suffered a severe acid burn when a battery was filled and a match struck. He was taken to Dr Earl Coop ers hospital in Augusta for treatment to save his sight. He said he had done it before with no result.
The city schools opened with 1157 pupils enrolled across four wards and junior high and senior high sections. Congestion appears only in the senior high where enrollment is up twenty percent to 309, prompting discussion of staffing and space needs.
Here visiting are Mrs Arista Kemper and her daughter Miss Ruth of Los Angeles California at the home of Mr and Mrs J B Thomas and other relatives. Mrs Kemper is a former resident of this city where her husband operated a shoe store on the southeast corner of the square.

Miss Vera Graham arrived in Saganaw Michigan to teach this year following a year at Maceemb high school. Her mother Mrs H A Graham left on Sunday for Canada to visit with her son Lester and wife. Mr Graham has been in Canada aiding in harvest duties for several weeks.

Trustees Horney Duncan and Downing, serving under an assignment to creditors, await bankruptcy adjudication and an accounting as assets are estimated near 237000 with liabilities about 162000.
