Sheriff Seeks Howard Tinder For Check Forgery Charge

Lewistown reports Howard Tinder, a former Fulton County resident, is held in Williamsburg Iowa on a charge of driving a motor vehicle without owner consent. He allegedly forged checks in Warren County and drove away July 4 with a truck belonging to Elbert H. Capps. A $50 reward was offered.

Macomb Girl Has Diphtheria At School

Miss Evelyn Bonham, daughter of Mr and Mrs F E Bonham, student at Ward Belmont Nashville, is recovering from diphtheria. Her sister Lucile had tonsillitis but not diphtheria. Mrs Bonham will return once quarantine ends in about a week. Also noted is J Bennett Rush improving from a badly infected thumb after a bruise from shucking corn.
