Toluca High leads the Macomb area meet with 15 points at 4 o clock as East Peoria 9 Terre Haute 8 and Kirkwood 6 follow. Roseville tops junior events with 57 points and Vermont 33. Roseville dominates early finals with Corbett Peterson and other standouts leading in sprints and distances.
Vermont led boys meet claiming multiple first places in events such as Circumstances Alter Cases and Pole Vault. Bardolph and Adair showed strong showings with top finishes in high jump and relay. Roseville, Normal, Macomb, Bushnell and East Peoria joined as runners-up in sprints and distance events.

A pole vault injury to Willard son of John Whalen of this city occurs when a broken pole struck his jaw causing a one inch wound. Dr Bacon attended and believes the boy will recover.
Mrs Jesse Kindart underwent a heavy abdominal operation this morning. George Milner of Augusta returned home after a recent operation. Mrs Lydia Walker of Brooklyn has been treated for an infected foot and went home yesterday. Mrs Pias Carsin of Colchester had an appendicitis operation this morning. Mrs Alexander Campbell left the hospital yesterday after a recent operation. Mrs Bertie M Hendry, who had a heavy operation recently, is improving. Mrs Ella Chimbers of Table Grove left the hospital yesterday after a long-ago operation. Mrs Chas Ally of Palmyra Mo is recovering well after a recent operation. Mrs Atta Smith of Long Beach California had tonsil removal surgery this morning by Dr Allen.

Jackson likely at short. Outfield to be determined. Bud Nester assisted. Start time 3:00 PM. expect large crowd.
George Koch a Notre Dame student and member of a 45 voice glee club will sing tonight at 8:00 from the Y M C A broadcasting station in South Bend Indiana. The program features the Notre Dame glee group performing a concert for radio listeners in the community.
Uncle Greelings of near Bardolph notes his son Granville Greeling broke his right arm in two places after a fall while mounting his pony Monday evening. The bone was badly twisted complicating alignment as it heals.
Bloomington Indiana May 11 1922 Mayor John G Harris explains the city’s water supply from a 690 foot dam built across a ravine. Demand now requires a second dam lower downstream to double capacity, avoiding a million dollar move to the White River.
A regular tornado west of the city struck Thursday night, damaging cherry trees and wrecking a 10 by 16 foot hen house at the Frank Rospach place. At Lew Aby’s, a similar hen house was blown over the fence with four hens killed. Hog houses on the Chas Welbourn place were leveled while nearby houses were rocked but left intact.
A community meeting of all citizens is called for next Tuesday night in the Booster Club rooms at Tennessee to plan the second annual homecoming picnic. Last year's event drew a large crowd with many returning to their youth.
Improved Edward Lindsey of Industry arrived home with his wife who had been undergoing cancer treatment in Kansas City for the past three months. She is much better now.
Chicago police report a partial confession from three of about 150 men held after a wave of bombings and beatings that killed two policemen. Three more arrests, including one in St Louis, bring total indictments to eight. Chief Fitzmorris says progress is strong and names Fred Mader and Big Tim Murphy as key figures. Authorities expect further indictments and arrests within hours.
Madeline Maxwell five, daughter of Mr and Mrs H V Maxwell of Bardolph, fell from the first floor into the basement about 6 pm during ongoing remodeling. The stairway opening caused the accident. she struck the cement floor, suffering a severe brain concussion and possible further injuries. She vomited blood overnight. her condition was reported improving by this morning.
Flos Munson of Monmouth Illinois pleaded guilty to sending a threatening letter to Warren county farmer George Curry demanding 1000 dollars or he would reveal what he knew. Judge Louis FitzHenry presided in federal court Wednesday morning and Munson received six months in Peoria county jail. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs Lester James Friday at 1 o clock weighing eight pounds. Mrs James is daughter of Mr and Mrs A D Potter of Macomb.
