Carthage Woman Fatally Shot
In Carthage Illinois a coroner jury returned a verdict that Frances Amy Horney died from a gunshot wound inflicted by an unknown hand. The inquest was led by Homer Blodgett of Plymouth. Mrs Horney reportedly shot herself in the kitchen at 10 o clock while her paralytic husband was nearby. Neighbors found her body. she leaves two children Arthur and Alma.

Fire extinguished blaze as Sato near Chandler Park
The car of Roy Pearce caught fire on the south side of Chandler Park and was extinguished by the owner using a patent extinguisher from Roark drug store. Chas Simmons of Avon was arrested and to be examined by the grand jury in Lewistown. Dr. W C Butler of Wilkie Canada recovering well from a mastoid operation in Rochester. Alvee petroleum deposits noted as the only world deposits operated by shafts.

Bureau Plans for 1921 Wool Pool
The Farm Bureau arranged similar fee handling as last year for the 1921 wool pool with McDonough county wool. The Illinois Agricultural Association and National Wool Warehouse and Storage Company will store and sell this year’s crop. L. L. Butterfield plans a major expansion of Holmes Park in Macomb adding adjacent high ground south of the playground. The project includes leveling new ground, a swimming pool fed by city water, and a 20 to 25 seat power boat on the lake for picnics and events. Diamond Bride Wins Divorce After Alleged Infidelity
