John Conover 17 a Camden Central High student disappeared after a rehearsal Friday night. Relatives and neighbors searched the countryside about five miles southwest of town. no trace found. Cowardly rumors of foul play arise while families urge cautious hope.

Plymouth Farm Sold at Auction Near Plymouth Illinois
The home farm of the late Romine Smith, about three miles northeast of Plymouth in Melon-ough county, was sold by the executrix March 11 in front of the Plymouth post office. The highest bidder was M. E. Young of Plymouth at 76 dollars an acre. Auctioneer Roll Wear of Colchester handled the sale. S. S. Groves of Quincy acted for the executrix.

Bushnell Man Arrested For Forgery
George Dean, former Bushnell resident, arrested this morning on a forgery warrant. He was taken to McDonough County jail after sheriff’s deputies detained him in Bushnell. Dean previously ran the Mackenbury restaurant in Bushnell and had lived in Birmingham. he has prior records of issuing bad checks.

Switch Engine Hits Wagon in Illinois Barn Incident
In Bushnell Illinois on March 12 Tom Pope formerly of Macomb and Chas Mathewson drove a wagon onto a railroad track and were struck by a switch engine. The wagon was demolished and the frightened horses ran but were stopped by Fred Lynn a postal clerk whose heroism inspired a subscription drive. Pope and Mathewson suffered losses and blame is placed on railroad workers for the accident.

Two Charged in Chicken Thefts Near Plymouth
