Irregular Youth Beats Guard to Death at Pontiac Reform School

In a violent incident at Pontiac reform school on a June afternoon, Byron Corbridge of Jacksonville allegedly beat guard J. Ed Power to death. Inmate witnesses described Corbridge attacking Power without provocation, striking him with a violent weapon. Authorities reported Power did not survive and initiated an investigation into the assault and conditions at the facility.

Milwaukee June 15 The Associated Advertising Clubs of the World hear K. K. Bell of Chicago declare the newspaper the most economical and effective medium for reaching the public. He dismisses back to normalcy propaganda and notes rising orders in May. Bell says 1922 will see intensified advertising with over 1 million dollars spent and broad distribution across existing markets and new fields.

San Francisco reports the Forty-eighth annual conclave of the Imperial Council of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine awarding charters to four temple groups in Anah Bangor Maines Al Bedoo Billings Mahi and Tigris Syracuse New York.
