President Morgan Hosts College Grads Banquet

President W. P. Morgan of the teachers college proved a capable host as he banqueted the graduating class at the Arts building cafeteria. A large attendance enjoyed an evening with a program in the art room featuring vocal and instrumental music.

St Francis nurses graduation set for June 2 at St Pauls

Seven nurses will complete training this month and receive diplomas at St Pauls Auditorium at 8 o clock. The ceremony features welcome by Miss Nelle Farrar, a trio, an address by Dr J W H Pollard, a song, and diploma presentations by Rev M Ryan. The graduates are Misses Gleason Bearee Farrar Horn O Donnell Boman Grimm. The note ends with a playful taunt from the Macomb Greys about upcoming games.

Navy balloonist Reed reported missing after Great Lakes drift

Erie Pennsylvania June 3 A naval balloon piloted by Lieut W F Reed of Pensacola bound for the international race drifted near Lake Erie with an aide and was believed groundbound in Canada or lost after a stormy Quebec crossing. Major Oscar Westover and B B Stoneywell also competed. Westover had logged about 900 miles and landed in Quebec, Stoneywell 550 miles from the start.
