Also visiting is Chas Warren of Chicago joining his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warren of East Jackson street.
Dr and Mrs J B Holmes Dr F F Russell Miss Suttle Barnhart and Reynolds left this morning for Rochester Minnesota for a ten day to two week visit at Mayo Brothers hospital.
About $2,000 to $50,000 in registered and coupon bonds taken from the Good Hope bank two years ago after a safe blown robbery. Most bonds were customers’ safety deposit items. Some coupon bonds may be cashed, but registered bonds appear unlikely to be recovered. New bonds will be issued for registered holders.
News wire reports Marcus C Benson, about 30, a stockman, shot dead on League main street. Two or three men reportedly participated. Benson is brother of C C Benson of Dickinson Texas who was flogged by masked men last week. In Texas politics Representative Patman denounces William Simmons of Atlanta as Ku Klux Klan leader and vows to oppose agents investigating the clan.
