Inquiry May Broaden on $10,000,000 State Loan Evidence

Lightning Strikes Silo Near Good Hope Causes Damage
Lightning struck the big silo at the Chas Stiarwalt farm four miles northeast of Good Hope, shattering the roof and tearing out bricks. Minor damage reported, rain general and welcomed by farmers. Former Table Grove Woman Killed Near Jefferson Ore
Mrs. Jane McCrea formerly Miss Jane Wissler of Table Grove died in an apparent train accident near Jefferson Oregon on a Sunday. The telegram said she received a broken neck after being struck by an onrushing train while crossing a railroad track. Her husband Mr. McCrea was badly injured and hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Canton July 18. Ipava Pleasant township supervisor Robert Hammond died at his Ipava home after heart trouble last night around 9 pm. Born in Ireland March 17 1854 he was 67 years old. He lived in New York City then Fulton county near Spain most his life. Survived by eight children from first marriage and four from second marriage plus several grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic order and Modern Woodmen.

Wreck of 25 Coal Cars Near Table Grove Halts Rail Traffic
A broken wheel on a coal train car caused a derailment a mile and a half north of Table Grove, Fulton County. Twenty five cars piled into a heap, with $25 000 in damage and $5 000 more to tracks. No injuries reported. Crews from multiple towns worked through the night to clear debris and reopen one track. officials say no evidence of buried bodies or a held tramp.
