Bushnell Shopmen Walk Out in Support of Rail Strike

Union members in Macomb and Bushnell ceased work after a strike call Saturday at 10 o clock. Arthur Doily, water department foreman in this city, also refused duty. Only one Q employee in Bushnell joined the walkout amid active workers from the Q and P W lines.

Mills Victim of Stallion Kick at Bushnell Farm

Mills, a Truman Pioneer Stud Farm employee, was kicked by a surly stallion while feeding and bedding a stall. He suffered a four to five inch liver gash and was taken to Tlolines hospital, where surgeons expect a recovery. He crawled to call for help after being knocked against a partition.

Brave Miss Harris Chases Mouse in Court House Hall

Miss Cort Harris of the County Clerk's office startled workers by parading a live mouse by the tail in the hall. The rodent escaped, prompting a chase as clerks joined in the hunt through the courthouse corridors. Train wreck near Atlantic City leaves multiple dead and many injured

A Camden Atlantic City express derailed 37 miles from Atlantic City. At least six people were killed and about seventy five injured, with half in serious condition. Authorities expect the death toll to rise as wreckage is searched.
