Guy Kyle a 45 year old former Free Methodist pastor at Mt Vernon confessed to a January 14 theft of 31 registered mail parcels carrying 185000 dollars in cash and 27000 in negotiable securities. Inspectors recovered most funds at his home and two garages with less than 1000 unaccounted. Kyle claimed the money was planted and burned the securities to avoid arrest.
