Century-Old Violin Sells For 300 In Macomb
Mrs. Seeley sold a 100 year old violin once kept in the Seeley attic on North Lafayette to Harold Frank, Macomb's violin artist, for 300 dollars. The instrument once belonged to Geo A Seeley’s grandfather and has stayed in the family. Frank has used it at the Illinois theatre for its rare tone and craftsmanship. The wood is not currently available for purchase. Mrs. Seeley is pleased with the price, believing it exceeds her expectations.

Farmers Propose Billion Bushel Corn Gift to Fend Starvation

Danville reports Mrs. Ernest Harrington ends a 48 day hunger strike after advice from Rev. G S Payne. She drinks milk in the minister's presence and intends to resume life with her husband who has not joined the church. Physicians doubt the duration of the fast.

Former Bushnell Man Murders Child Then Takes Own Life
Word reached here that Mr. Nevins of Seattle killed his child and then committed suicide. Nevins married Miss Josie Mahan of Bushnell years ago and they lived in various northwest towns. Mrs. Nevins long resided in Bushnell and worked for the Bushnell Pump company. Details are scarce but it is believed the husband and father was mentally deranged. Another child died during the past year.
