Farmer Chesley Found Dead After Heart Trouble

A Macomb County farmer, Oscar Ellison, found dead in a cow lot on the Ellison farm near here. Coroner's inquest cites heart trouble as the likely cause with the body found beside a pail of water. Survivors include his wife and several children. Funeral services set for Saturday at the distance chapel. interment at Bardolph.

Water can explosion scalds woman at home

The land sale of the estate of J. V. Wilson comprising 251 acres east of Industry was held at the courthouse this afternoon. The total sale price reached $69,036.06 with the home place of 60 acres purchased by Hugh W. Burnham and 111 acres and 80 acres bought by Perry Wilson and Harvey David respectively.

Moonshiners Arrested In Raid At Local Residence

Sheriff E. L. Sapp and Deputy J. B. Wilson captured James Gossage Ed Wainline and Hiram Frakes in a moonshine raid south of the Porcelain factory. Officers seized 109 gallons of whiskey a copper still firearms and ammunition. Frakes was later found at the Mainline barber shop and jailed.
