A Macomb County farmer, Oscar Ellison, found dead in a cow lot on the Ellison farm near here. Coroner's inquest cites heart trouble as the likely cause with the body found beside a pail of water. Moonshiners Arrested In Raid At Local Residence
Sheriff E. L. Sapp and Deputy J. B. Wilson captured James Gossage Ed Wainline and Hiram Frakes in a moonshine raid south of the Porcelain factory. Officers seized 109 gallons of whiskey a copper still firearms and ammunition. Frakes was later found at the Mainline barber shop and jailed.
