Burglary at ToneKing Store in Bethel Township

Glars entered the ToneKing store in Bethel township Birmingham and stole cash and merchandise valued around 40 to 50 dollars. Bloodhounds traced a trail to a neighbor's home, drawing crowd interest as investigators followed leads.

Fire damages residence roof and attic after sparks

A fire started by sparks on a shingle roof at the P. D. B. residence on West Carroll caused $100 damage. Water suppression limited flames but smoke and water damaged a closet and paper upstairs. Firemen arrived promptly and extinguished the blaze with efforts continuing in the attic.

Evzers Resigns on March 1 in School Meeting Note

Red Cross Nursing Adds Home Hygiene Class

The Red Cross opens a new Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick class on Monday February 21 at 7 30 p m in the Union National Bank Macomb and vicinity women are invited. The course aims to teach personal hygiene household sanitation illness prevention and basic nursing procedures for caring for family members and following physician orders.

Alex McQuistan of Scotland township is hospitalized after a horse kicked him in the chin the lower jaw fractured on both sides and most of his teeth were knocked out. He rode home to fetch help then went to Holmes Hospital for treatment. Dr Parry resumes practice after military service. All Schools Close For Basketball Tournament Week

All public schools including the high school will close this evening through the rest of the week to allow students to attend the basketball tournament games at the normal and high school gyms.
