M Logan chosen to chair the board as FI Bank selects a 15 member slate of directors. The announcement lists the 15 directors and notes governance changes.
Authorities approve settlement for the Bardolph State Bank closed October 10 1978. New directors Robert M Logan John Hamilton Glen Walker John Wiley Douglas Grover Walker and others were elected to reopen and manage the bank while depositors receive 40 percent of claims. The remainder funds and securities will be handled under a trust with trustees Howard Eastin and D D Olson.

Springfield, Feb. 2. Governor Small issued a call for a special primary and election to name a successor to William E. Mason of Chicago who died last June. After weeks confined at home he attempted to reach the telephone and fell again while calling his son in law at the bank.
Washington reports Edward J. Shaughnessy of Chicago, second assistant postmaster general, is dead from injuries suffered in the Knickerbocker theatre disaster on Saturday night. He passed away today at a local hospital.
A special merchants police unit was appointed to guard business areas at night. Suspects found prowling the alleys around the square will be taken into custody if not able to justify legitimate business.
