Indianapolis Aug 28 A predicted major cut in coal prices follows an interstate commerce commission order denying open top cars to wagon mines and mines without loading chutes. The United Mine Workers Journal editor says high prices come from smaller and wagon mines, and the order may drive smaller mines to close, freeing cars for larger operators.

Hartzell argues the papers flaw caused delay. hearings shifted from Hunt in Bushnell to Bardolph with a venue change and a continuance due to counsel being tied up in county court. The complainant Mrs. Johnson, formerly of Bushnell, now resides in Town.
Oklahoma City Aug 29 The Cole Petroleum Co capitalized at 5 million dollars is formed by C R Cole of the Cole Oil Syndicate with Judge Dean Franklin of Chicago as vice president. Fern Ross of Oklahoma City is secretary and George Short attorney general of Oklahoma is assistant attorney. Half the stock will be for development and producing acreage in Kansas may be acquired. Bigley moves to Oklahoma City and Franklin will arrive soon with offices in the Continental Building.
Oklahoma City August 28 Republicans from most counties gathered for the state ratification convention at the Republican clubs meeting. Governor Lowden arrived at noon and will deliver the principal address.
Springfield reports Mary Harris a vampire snake charmer at the state fair mistook a full fanged black diamond rattler for a pet during a late afternoon act. The reptile pierced her cheek with fangs and she is listed in very serious condition at a hospital.
