Thompson Couple in Auto Crash Near Manning
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Thompson of the Thompson family, living at 608 East Street, were injured in an automobile accident three miles south of Manning on the way to the state fair. Mrs. Thompson received cuts and injuries. Mr. Thompson suffered a compound fracture of the leg and facial injuries.

May Have Fracture In Bicycle Wagon Accident
Eight year old Russell Bridgewater was injured when an automobile driven by Charles Kelso struck him after he jumped from a wagon near a new residence on East Jackson Street. He suffered facial bruising a cut lip and scratches with possible skull fracture. An X ray was planned to determine the extent of injuries.

Sheriff Arrests Man at Bushnell
A. Towne, 28, was arrested last night at Bushnell by Sheriff Sapp and Deputy Wilson on a wife and child abandonment charge. He was brought to the county jail awaiting a sheriff's representative from Galesburg who took him there this afternoon. Towne, once jailed on desertion charges, said he served seven months of a ten year sentence. He had been living with Wes Portlock near Bardolph prior to the arrest.

Chicago Aug 24 Fred E Sterling Illinois lieutenant governor and accused embezzler sent a draft for 341386 28 to Edward E Miller his successor as state treasurer noting it covers all interest earned on state deposits since May 31 1920 and that one remaining item 15000 with Union State Bank Dixon II awaits adjustment with a receiver in near future.
