Macomb water users with delinquent payments will have water shut off starting Monday morning. City council ordered the action, approved by Mayor B. F. McLean, after delinquent payments topped $2,000. The council insists regular payers should not cover nonpayers and will push to recover the remaining balance.
The will of the late Mrs. Mary E. Roberts of Hire township leaves 1500 dollars in personal property to ten beneficiaries, including her children Seymour L Sterling E and H Claude and granddaughter Grace V Williams each receiving five dollars. Laura A the daughter is named executrix but refuses to serve. An administrator will be appointed. The will dated December 19 1920 was witnessed by Ruby James and E T Martin of Blandinsville.
Two men die after two railroad crossing crashes near Springfield on Aug 20. One car hit by Chicago and Alton train, four miles away another struck by Illinois Central. Eight others injured.
The search for 10 year old Virsil Reeves who vanished at a Sangamon river camp ended when three dynamite blasts brought her body to the surface this morning near Springfield. Local authorities conducted the river salvage after the disappearance occurred Thursday.

A devastating rain and wind storm crossed Wisconsin from the northwest to the southeast causing heavy property damage and numerous injuries. Sheboygan County reports the worst damage with Plymouth fairgoers injured and hospitals overwhelmed. Yachts capsized near Oshkosh, Madison golf club buildings collapsed, and many towns lost communications as Milwaukee transit and lines were disrupted. One person died in Janesville as Racine and other areas suffered extensive damage.
Dublin and London dispatches express pessimism over Ireland with Henry N. Nevinson warning that negotiations may fail and civil war could follow. Lloyd George is accused of threats that may undermine peace as Irish leaders bluff for tougher terms.
Jay G. Brown national secretary of the Farmer-Labor party writes to James L. Davis secretary of labor urging a nationwide reduction of work hours. He claims 6,000,000 unemployed could gain jobs if hours are cut across industries.
The Macomb Dodgers edged Blandinsville 5 to 4 at the Good Hope band fair. Tied 4-4 through eight, Litchfield drove in the winning run from third after a three on base situation in the ninth. Macomb lineup featured Watson, Sympson, Danielson, Croxton, McCutcheon, Nester, Litchfield, Pestel and Durr.
Galesburg August 20. Ethel Patterson 22 vanished from her Gerlan area home Wednesday night after undressing for bed. Her body was recovered today from a cistern on her father's farm. Authorities favor self harm but foul play is possible.

Leonard B. Yeast won reelection as president of the Alacomb Chautauqua board for a fourth year despite protests. Officers elected include Charles Wright as vice president Judge C Times as secretary and Earl Byers as treasurer. The program featured the Zedeler Symphonic Quintet and a platform address by Rev. George D. Prentice. The 1921 event closes tomorrow with the Sholles Family Orchestra and a Ruth Bryan Owen address.
New York banks and trust companies report a weekly reserve surplus of 16.975 million dollars, exceeding required reserves by 1.172 million, up from last week. The gain reflects a stronger liquidity position for the sector.
