An elderly man aged part dies by his own action in a tragedy at Ins ville. Police report indicates the incident involved a firearm and a fatal outcome. Further details pending official statements from authorities.
The 78 year old Wisslead of Blandinsville killed himself with a 32 caliber revolver in the bathroom of his Blandinsville home at 5 30 this morning. Neighbors and a coroner's jury found the cause of death to be self inflicted. The deceased had lived on a large farm near Scio for eight years and had been a long time resident of the county.

Four men robbed a United States government mail truck in broad daylight on Dearborn Street Chicago, taking between 500000 and 700000 in currency and negotiable securities. The getaway car fled in about ninety seconds after intimidation and gunfire, with police later finding wrappers suggesting a large sum had been taken. The loot was consigned to banks in Indianapolis as investigators pursue descriptions of the robbers and car.
Springfield April 7 the supreme court denied rehearing of the Fairview Lodge case involving the Fairview Todie No 350 A F A M and Gad dig et al, as announced this morning in court.
A $50,000 suit was filed in Superior Court by George Kittle of Chicago against Claude Hazelwood of Hillsview alleging alienation of affections involving Kittle's wife. The praecipe was filed today in Chicago.
Mr and Mrs Roy Bugg of Maine have taken residence on the Mrs A Strickland farm east of the city. The location is convenient and friends of the Buggs express good wishes as they begin their new venture.
The national union of railroad men voted to support the miners in their strike. In London Lloyd George announced in the House of Commons a plan to breakup the Lone State of representatives of miners mine owners and the government to settle the coal strike.
Chicago April 7 Bennie Kauff star outfielder with the New York Nationals was ruled ineligible to play in organized baseball by commissioner Landis due to indictments in New York charging him with theft of an automobile.
Bandits held up the Santa Fe ticket office in Galesburg at 4 30 this morning taking only paper money from the cash drawer. The ticket agent was forced to surrender funds. two bandits fled with $200 while silver money was bypassed and no witnesses were reported.
Washington April 7 the agriculture department estimated a winter wheat crop of about 621.9 billion bushels based on crop conditions on April 1 at 91 percent of normal. The report emphasizes a strong yield expectation despite market noise.
The county Modern Woodmen group decided at a Bushnell meeting yesterday to hold the next county convention in Bushnell with possible fall encampment in the county. Five men were appointed to arrange details and four delegates named for the state convention. C Townley chosen as district head camp delegate. An excellent dinner for visitors was provided by Jack Oak camp.

Bushnell attorney George C. Hillyer won a place as one of three Republican circuit judge candidates in the district at Galesburg, receiving 74 votes on the fourth ballot. Walter C. Frank of Galesburg and Willis F. Graham of Monmouth were nominated unanimously. The race centered on Hillyer versus Clifford Warner of LaHarpe, Hancock County.
Glen Hill and Miss Patterson were married at the bride's Monmouth home Tuesday evening. The groom, longtime Journal Printing Co. employee in this city, and Mrs Hill, a Normal school alumna, visited here with the Hills before departing for Marshall, Michigan.
