Local potato king brings eleven pound spuds and unusual vegetables

George West, noted local potato king, delivered ten potatoes weighing eleven pounds total to the office. A tomato weighing one and three quarters pounds from Mrs. A Perkins’ garden arrived Saturday. Charlie McMinn, living with Mr. and Mrs. A Duncan, brought a remarkably large marrow described as a freak vegetable.
