Winners of Austin 200 club draws and Manitoba trip notes
Vera Gan of Austin won the August 25 draw and Catherine McAskill of Gladstone won the September 1 draw. The group held a meeting after supper to discuss year end changes, attended church, and used a motel room for a final group gathering with Tang and snacks. A planned jail visit was hampered by rain, then a Steinbach tour included a museum and a windmill, followed by lunch and shopping. Host families in Thornhill welcomed three members, visiting a benzene oil sand operation. The trip continued to Mordon experimental farm and Friendship Field Carman before rain ended activities and a Winnipeg bus depot return. Thanks to 4H club Council for funding. Photos will be made into a film by Blanche Fehr.
