Intercession service at St Pauls Church on Wednesdays in September at 8 p.m. United Churches hold Sunday services on Sept 17 with MacGregor at 7 p.m. Bagot at 1 30 p.m. Beaver at 3 p.m.
The Herald reports Cpl James P Tilt son of the late Mr and Mrs Fred J Tilt formerly of MacGregor has been killed in action in France. He is remembered in MacGregor where he attended public school. He leaves two sisters Mrs C C Honeychurch and Miss Joan Tilt, with Mrs Honeychurch husband a prisoner of war in Germany and another sister in Toronto, and a brother George in Saskatchewan.
In Carleton Place Ontario last week John Bracken Progressive Conservative leader announced he would accept nomination to represent Neepawa Manitoba in the next election. Neepawa is currently held by F D MacKenzie, re-elected in 1940, who has served since 1985. Bracken, former Manitoba premier for over two decades, led PC party since December 1942.
