Austin district social notes highlight visits and events

Bagot School to Take IX and X This Term
Bagot will commence both grades IX and X this term. The Bagot annual Fowl Supper is set for Wednesday October 4. Rev. AE Weaver will lead a church service at Bagot next Sunday at 1 pm. Miss Orge Cottam and head spent the long weekend at her parental home. Born at Bagot August 20 a daughter to Jr. and Mrs. A J Farncombe. Margaret Georgina Erlendson, of Langruth, with Nurse D Erlendson and Mrs. M Erlendson of Winnipeg visited the parental home over the weekend.

Canadian Pacific Inland Voyage Ships On Great Lakes History
Since 1852 the Canadian Pacific inland voyage from Owen Sound to Fort William and Port Arthur has drawn thousands of travelers. The Keewatin and Assiniboia, both 4000 ton steamers, operate weekly from Port McNicoll and Owen Sound with three captains. The S S Keeatin and Assiniboia highlight fifty years of service, while the S S Manitoba carries freight from Owen Sound.
