A Trip to Churchill Excerpts from a Manitoba Rail Tour
The first organized excursion to Churchill in Western Canada last month drew about a hundred travelers from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The trip from Portage la Prairie began August 25, passing Neepawa and Dauphin groups before reaching The Pas. At Churchill the party marveled at the modern harbor, elevators, docks, and large milling plants, with the town perched on a peninsula between the Churchill River and Hudson Bay.
