Dr A Vo Jubb will visit Austin every Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs H Thomas. Mrs Blick of Winnipeg is visiting Mr and Mrs E V Moore in Austin. Funeral services for Mrs Bruno Berting were held in Austin with burial at Augustine Church Cemetery. A successful drive and dance netted 3200 for the Austin Memorial Curling Club, featuring wallets for returning armed forces members presented by Mrs S C Duff and Mrs H Widness.

Pioneer Percival Parkess Rites Held In Pratt Manitoba
After a lengthy illness Percival Howard Parkess of Pratt Manitoba died at his home on Thursday October 17 aged 58. Funeral services were held Saturday from his residence to Sidney cemetery Rev L J Adams officiating. He was born in Winnipeg January 6 1889 and moved to Southfield district in 1896 where he farmed. He married Amy L Cowland of London England on October 2 1918. He is survived by his widow a daughter Marjorie two grandsons three brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers and flower bearers from Pratt attended.
