Gothic Lodge At Home Brings Masonic Families Together
Austin Masonic Lodge members and guests from MacGregor, Carberry and Wellwood attended the Gothic Lodge At Home in the Community Hall Friday. Fifteen whist tables produced prize winners Mrs H S Collins with A Johnson and Mrs Hugh Strain with John Lawrence. A short program followed with solos by Joyce MacKinnon Lillian Fox D G McLachlan and H A Lye plus recitations by R W Cobbe and Marjorie West and duets by Mrs McLachlan and H A Lye. Ivan West, Wor Master of Austin Lodge, presided. A sumptuous lunch was prepared by the ladies and served by lodge members. Strains Orchestra of Carberry supplied music for dancing to a large gathering.

Social Gathering At Sidney Hosted by Councillor Goulding
Last Tuesday about twenty four friends and members of the North Norfolk Caledonia Club attended Councillor and Mrs. Greg Goulding at their Sidney home. Master of Ceremonies Jim Gi mour led the event while Goulding spoke on Bobbie Burns. Wm Cairns and others gave short addresses. Lunch was prepared by Jack McPhee and G E Lewin. The gathering ended with thanks and the singing of Auld Lang Syne.

Red Cross tea fundraiser tops twenty dollars at sale
Lloyd Jones spent the weekend in Winnipeg. Proceeds from the Red Cross Tea at the John Jones sale last week totaled $20.00. A Red Cross Sale and Tea is planned for Sight Hill Community Hall on Wednesday November 5. The Sight Hill district welcomes Mr and Mrs Jim English and their family who recently moved from Treherne.
