War Savings Drive urged to fund Canada's war effort
The War Savings Drive is under way across provinces to raise funds for equipment for fighting forces. The Dominion aimed for 10 million dollars monthly for War Savings Certificates, but only about 75 percent of that was reached. Manitoba reports 333 committees contacting every resident to participate, urging pledges. Citizens are urged to invest in War Savings Certificates to support Canada’s war needs and defend freedoms.
