McDougalls Honored On 50th Anniversary
McDougalls celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a noon and evening gathering on October 16. About 110 guests signed the guest book, including Misses Lorene Janice and Demise McDougall. Family served lunch and wedding cake pieces. tea was poured by four women. Messages from notable figures and relatives were read, and gifts included two deep freezers. Mr. McDougall, born December 22, 1882 near MacGregor, traced work in tinsmithing and broadcasting before retiring. Mrs. McDougall, born in Owen Sound, moved to Winnipeg in 1916. they wed in Winnipeg October 26, 1916. They have four sons, three daughters, seven grandsons, eight granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. two sons predeceased them. A turkey supper for 45 members followed. out-of-town guests joined from Yorkton, Winnipeg, Minneota, and Toronto areas.

Sidney 44 Beef Club Holds Final Meeting
Project forms were distributed to members and lunch arrangements were made for awards night. The Sidney 44 Beef Caliber club held its final meeting of the year at the home of Mr and Mrs Lionel Wright with Mrs B J De Ath e as leader. Dennis Early noted the scrapbook committee’s busy work as pictures and materials are gathered. Plans for reorganizing next year were agreed. The meeting set for Oct 21 at the E Bagnall home and invited any interested to join as a member.
