Election Day Nears In Rural Municipality Ward 3
Electors in Ward 3 of the Rural Municipality of North Norfolk and the village of MacGregor head to polls next Wednesday to elect councillors. In Ward 3, incumbent William Pilkington faces Roy Smith. polling booths at Bagot hall and Rossendale hall open 9 am to 6 pm. MacGregor voters choose two councillors from Ed Chant, Harry Dankesreiter, Ed Leckie, George Lloyd, and Alvin Sloane at the MacGregor Memorial hall with the same 9 am to 6 pm hours. No election in Wards 4 5 or 6. Ward 4 and 5 filled by acclamation, Ward 6 likely to appoint. MacGregor consolidated school trustees were Carl Bergquist Duncan Lamb Glenn Lye and Bert Nichol. Other noted elections include Pine Creek school division Ward 2 with Ron Broadfoot and Mrs A G Karaz.

At the October North Norfolk MacGregor Hospital Board meeting officers and members welcomed Dr. Bostock. The building committee noted completion of painting in the lower hall and doctors offices. A centrifuge and plastic blow up splints are to be purchased. Plans for extension will be discussed with the Hospital Commission. Accounts totaling 827.29 were presented for approval.
